+ One of very own AMSA alumni will be telling you all that will need to know about AMCAS, letters of rec, and the application process! She applied to medical school for the 2012 application cycle so the entire process is very fresh in her head! This is a rare opportunity to see the actual AMCAS interface, learn how to categorize your classes, learn how to talk about your activities, ask for letters of rec, where to hold letters and send them to AMCAS!
+ Come listen to a USC Keck Medical School representative talk about their Global Health Program. This program was developed specifically to train future health care professionals in analyzing and addressing clinical and management issues in medicine on a global scale over the course of 3 semesters.
+ Spend an informal evening with current medical students and have all your burning pre-med questions answered! Dr. Yang and his residence may also be present. Meeting will be at 6:00pm in the Wilson Medical Student Lounge. Pior sign up required
+ Come to this Wednesday’s meeting and hear Professor Roderick Tung talk about his fascinating life. Not only is he a professor at the UCLA David Geffen School of Medicine but also a high-end fashion designer.
+ AMSA will be hosting their first Mock Interviews along with the Medical Students of UCLA. This event is great practice for students applying to medical school this coming summer, but is open to all premeds. The medical students will interview premeds and use similar interview practices and methodologies as the David Geffen School of Medicine. Premeds can attend one of two sessions located at the Wilson Lounge of the David Geffen School of Medicine: Session 1 (6-7pm) and Session 2 (7-8pm). Sign ups are required. Please see banner below.
