MCAT Preparation Company Debate
We will also host the MCAT preparation companies in a debate, in which different test preparation companies will present the benefits of their programs for the students.

The goal of the AMSA Pre-Med Newsletter is to educate all pre-meds at UCLA on current events in the medical field. In addition, the newsletter will serve as a bulletin board for pre-med events, quality pre-med advice, as well as advertisements for job and research opportunities.
First Issue is Published!
We are happy to announce publication of the first issue of The Medical Examiner,
the innovative newsletter, written by students and published online by the Student Life Action Committee
of the AMSA Pre-Medical Chapter at UCLA.

Read and download or print it on our web site online. We have constructed this newspaper as a tool with which pre-medical students can navigate through the exciting, yet sometimes overwhelming medical school preparation process. Covering topics such as MCAT information, research opportunities, current events, and first hand accounts and advice, we hope to instill within the students a sense of confidence, organization and self-efficacy in their ability to pursue and achieve their aspirations in the medical field. We intend to create a forum in which students can both provide and seek advice from their fellow pre-med peers.
Joining the AMSA Pre-Med Newsletter will give you the chance to:
- Research and write about current events in medicine that you do not learn in your classes
- Clarify confusion about the MCAT and the medical school application process
- Talk to professors and physicians about things that really interest you
- Join a team of great people to write about these current events for other pre-meds on campus
If you are interested in being involved, email any one of our Editors-in-Chief or attend our meetings:
